New Zealand is a small country, similar in size to Great Britain or Japan. With a population of four million people. New Zealand has a rich and fascinating history reflecting our unique mix of Maori and European culture. The weather can change unexpectedly - the Far North is subtropical during the summer months while the middle area of the North Island and a large area of the South Island has snow during the winter. We have some of the best wine in the world made from grapes grown in our provincial regions. Rugby is our sporting passion and the All Black team is respected throughout the sporting world.
